After you pass your test

New driver P plate

Once your provisional licence has been sent away and you’ve got that all important pass certificate, DRM can offer you a couple of different options to help bridge the gap between learner and confident road user:

  • Motorway Lessons are a particularly good idea for a recently qualified driver. Just because you’re a safe road user, it doesn’t mean everyone else is! Best to let a DRM instructor give you advice on how this driving differs from what you have learned so far and build your confidence in this tricky aspect of driving life.
  • Pass Plus is an excellent way to gain experience in areas of driving that are unable to be covered while you’re a learner driver and increase confidence on those areas you have already covered. This programme of 6 modules is deisgned by the Driving Standards Agency who issue you with a certificate on successful completion of the course with your instructor.

Pricing for both options can be found on the driving lesson prices page.

Also bear in mind the New Drivers Act. This piece of law means your licence wil be revoked if you receive six or more penalty points (including paying by fixed penalty) within two years of passing your first practical test. If your licence is revoked you will need to re-apply for a provisional licence and drive under the rules of a learner until you pass the theory and driving tests again.
