Manual or Automatic - you choose

The training cars DRM instructors use have been selected based on their suitability for teaching and reliability. We understand that learning to drive can be very daunting for some and have chosen cars that are easy to handle. The majority of the cars are manual transmission.

There are various different makes and models of car available, depending on where you live. If you wish to learn in a specific model of car give us a call and we will let you know if it is available.

All the cars are fitted with dual controls, are appropriately insured and are serviced as per manufacturer’s instructions.

DRM instructors have the backup of a spare car run by DRM for their use in the event of a breakdown. So your instructor is off the road for the minimum amount of time due to a mechanical problem.

Automatic cars

Driving a manual car isn’t for everyone and DRM can offer you another route to your licence by taking lessons in an automatic* car – no gears, no tears!
