Getting Ready To Drive
Points to consider when arranging lessons

Once you’ve got all the paperwork out of the way and are ready to get on the road, the most important thing is to find an instructor who you are comfortable with and can learn from.

Using DVD, CD and other training materials, DRM Driver Training will teach you everything you need to know to prepare for the theory and driving test, with follow up courses for motorway driving and Pass Plus. Our combination of home study training materials and in car lessons with your professional instructor will build the knowledge and skills you need to know into easy stages for all parts of the driving test, putting into practise the theory on the roads at a pace that suits you to build your confidence.

DRM has several instructors in each area and will book you with an instructor whose availability most matches yours. If for any reason something is not quite right, let us know and we will do what we can to make it right.

Remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. How you are feeling can affect your driving ability so advise your instructor if you are feeling unwell or are on medication and don’t plan your lessons for the day after a big night out.

Feeling nervous is perfectly natural and driving instructors are used to putting people at ease. The DRM training materials and progress chart help you prepare for lessons and know what stage you are at in your training, taking away the worry of what you are going to be doing on the next lesson.

Try to relax and enjoy learning a new skill that you will have for life and remember your reason for taking up driving in the first place, as you work towards achieving your goal!
