Driving Lessons
Which lesson or course is correct for you?

beginning a driving lesson

At DRM Driver Training we train you for the theory and driving test using a combination of home study materials, a professional instructor and in-car training. Find out more about our training formula.

We have a range of driving lessons, available in manual and automatic cars, which are detailed below with a brief description of each to help you decide which is the correct lesson for you.

Beginners Introductory Driving Lesson

Meet your instructor, find out all about the DRM Training Formula and how it can help you. Have your first chance to drive the car and afterwards, watch the DVD at home in preparation for your next lesson. You’ll see just how much more driving practise you’ll get from studying the theory at home from the DVD.

Previous Drivers Assessment Drive

Having had lessons before and/or sat tests in the past at DRM Driver Training we recommend that you have your driving assessed in order to find out how good your driving is. After your DRM instructor has completed an assessment of your driving they can advise approximately how many hours of training you require, which you can arrange into a timetable that fits your lifestyle. This can be done by taking hourly lessons or taking advantage of one of our many courses and block booking discounts.

Hourly lessons

These will suit many people and you can progress quicker by doing 1½ or even 2 hour lessons. The same effect will also be achieved by doing hourly lessons 2 or 3 times a week. Your DRM instructor can be flexible with lesson lengths and will always be happy to discuss any changes you would like to make in your training.

Block booking

Block booking lessons allows you to take advantage of discounted lesson prices and take the lessons 1, 1½ or 2 hours at a time, as suits your lifestyle. You can arrange a block booking at any time with your instructor or through the office.

Intensive Courses

These are a good way to learn to drive as by making a commitment to a specific number of lessons each week you will make the best progress possible. DRM instructors offer 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 week courses, details of which can be found under driving training courses
