What is Duty of Care
Managing Work Related Road Safety
Duty of Care is Managing Work related Road Safety.
Duty of Care is now a legal requirement whether you are self-employed or employed, whether you make an occasional journey for work purposes or daily travel between appointments or places of work and whether you use a company vehicle or your own car.
Health and safety law requires you and/or your company to ensure so far as reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare of all employees and to safeguard others who may be put at risk from their work activities (which includes work-related driving). Where police identify that serious management failures have been a significant contributory factor in an accident the Health and Safety Executive will take enforcement action.
Duty of care policies and procedures will;
- Save lives, prevent injury or accidents
- Save money
- Ensure best practices are followed
What does this mean to you?
