-After you pass your test -

Congratulations, you have passed your driving test.

Below are a few things to remember and to consider:-

Claim your FULL licence

Firstly, you must claim your full licence within two years; click here for details

The New Drivers Act

When on the road, you are effectively on a 2 year probationary period. Should you break any of the rules of the road and pick up points on your licence, you only need 6 to have your licence taken away. You then have to return to a provisional licence and resit both the theory and the driving test! Click here for more details.

Pass Plus

To help avoid this, you should consider taking a Pass Plus course with your DRM instructor. Click here for the DRM Pass Plus page. You can also save a considerable sum on your car insurance by achieving your Pass Plus certificate.

What you can drive.

You should also be aware what you can and cannot drive. Passing the car test, for instance does not entitle you to pull a trailer (over 750kg) or a caravan behind the car you are driving. Advanced Driver Training

As your driving experience grows, you may wish to have help in developing your driving techniques with

  • Defensive driving,
  • Eco Safe Driving and
  • Advanced Driving tuition.

DRM offer courses in these techniques to help you become a better driver and to enjoy your driving more.
