The format of the driving test changes on 4th October 2010. The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) are introducing a section called Independent Driving.
For 10 minutes the candidate will be asked to either follow road signs to a location or follow directions given in blocks of 3. The candidate can ask the examiner for clarification of the route if they have forgotten one of the directions.
In order to not increase the length of the test one manoeuvre will be removed.
